Being a self taught photographer i always brought my camera on all my travels as a musician. It was the perfect travel companion as the music took me to many parts of the world and gave me the opportunity to take photos in many different cultures. I have a deep love for black & white photography and it was clear for me from the very beginning that my expression was to be monochrome, it was never i choice i made.
As a musician i have worked a lot with dance and i have always been fascinated about the expression and aesthetics of dancers, their way to control their bodies and how they are aware of the body lines in their poses. I started to take photos of dancers that i worked with and i very soon discovered the beauty of dance photography, the way you could paint the bodies of the dancers with light and shadows and almost make them look like sculptures.
